Ziauddin Yousafzai is the forward-thinking principal of Khushal School. His school-going daughter, Malala, is also independent in her thinking. In fact, Malala writes a newspaper column, condemning the atrocities and murders of the Talibans. Since she writes under the pen name of Gul Makai, Gul becomes an overnight star. Conditions worsen in the valley so much that schools are forced to close down and ultimately, the area where the Yousafzais live has to be evacuated. However, Ziauddin Yousafzai, with like-minded people, continues his tirade against the Talibans. Once people return to the valley and schools reopen, the Talibans target Malala and shoot at her. She is hospitalised and saved. She ultimately becomes a young star who dared to stand up against international terrorists. She is given the Nobel Peace Prize and receives a number of international honours. All of Aranea's stuff comes from the last fest, so nothing new for her. Iris and Luna both get new relics. On that note we also get a new character: Lunafreya! Fron her SBs we know she'll be a Water/Holy White Mage/Summoner (so similar to Arc or maybe Yuna). Her kits has a lot of speed tricks in it and all of her relics are split between DPS and Healing. Historically that's never REALLY worked at least in top tier content but we'll see how she stacks up once we have a full measure of her character. I will say right now with the WCast summon and En-Water LM/LMR she leans more towars Water Summoner but not by much. Iris also gets some nice new things to support her mostly physical realm with physical speed tricks on her new Awakening and Ultra and the typical healer Flash+. Overall, given the general lack of water mages if you're looking for one this isn't a bad place to look and Iris and Aranea's relics on top make this a decent place for helping boost your overall XV team. B2: This banner is pretty much the same banner from the last XV event except instead of Gladio's Flash it has Ignis BSB. Doesn't everyone have this through lenses by now? Cor is still a decent Fire Samurai with his kit and Gladio still rocks the Earth Heavy abilities (thank you for the groans). Overall, this is pretty much all the top tier XV relics introduced before this event so if you need XV gear this is your place to get it. Watching the movie feels a lot like that. On the final cut to black, I muttered, “ Please let it be over. ” When the credits appeared, I whispered, “ Thank f&! k. ” A mostly just fine movie that is a bit of a slog to get through but has a really good performance by Lucy Frye I could tell exactly what kind of movie this was going to be from the very first scene, and as the film slugged on, I realised that I was exactly right. There were a few reasons why this just didn't rub me the right way, but I won't bore you too much (especially since I'm trying to whack out these film festival reviews as fast as I can). I think my main issue with this film is how it feels like it's talking down to you rather than just having faith in its own ideas, especially since those ideas could have been genuinely interesting if they had been executed correctly. The main character is unbelievably uninteresting, mainly because of other… Well I felt missing during this, for how slow and and how much of a borefest it was. Nothing to do with the cast, just I don't know. I came for Eiza González, but stayed for Lucy Fry. Who am I kidding, I stayed for Eiza too. I enjoyed the movie overall, although I did find the first hour to be a lot stronger than the last 30 minutes.  It’s definitely a slow-burn at points, but those were my favourite moments of the movie. Recent reviews I’ve seen better quiet, small-town movies and I’ve seen better movies about cults. This wasn’t outright bad, but it was a slog to watch. The whole thing was one-note and mostly just boring. You get this feeling that Heidi and Jane have this attraction to each other right at the beginning, but it goes just nowhere. From the way the movie ended, I feel like this story would have been much better served as a straightforward thriller than this kind of cerebral drama it was trying to be. You do get this kind of uneasy feeling while watching, and maybe that is the work of the score more than anything else. Josh Hartnett was pretty good as the cult leader, though he basically only appears in the third act for a few minutes. Alexandra McGuinness' Lotus Eaters was a spectacular directorial debut. It's a perfect film with its own style, wicked sense of humor, and hypnotic female characters. She's Missing works when it leans into the humor and strong leads, but it has a major identity crisis. It feels so Lynchian with a distractingly Angelo Badalamenti-esque score that it completely derails the film. These moments feel like major tonal shifts and they don't work. The plot takes a real wrong turn at the hour mark and never recovers. I read what McGuinness had to say about films that inspired She's Missing () and I fully get it and have so much respect for her. The stuff that works in She's Missing works really… Habe während des Filmes ein Stechen im Rücken bekommen. Ansonsten ist nix interessantes passiert. Watch (She's Missing) movie beta ray bill… without signing up She's Missing. I haven't seen this movie yet (can't find it online and can't afford the apps the movie's on either) but I hope to see it soon. Because eiza Gonzalez is my most favorite girl in the universe and most favorite actress ever.
Even though I only watched the trailer for now, but from what I saw, eiza should've won an oscar For her performance.
I really hope in the movie that Jane and her friend Heidi get out of that train wreck of a mess they gotten themselves into or ill never forgive them both. I won't rate she's missing for now until after I seen it! Hope it comes to theaters or on DVD soon.

While many holocaust survivors openly express rage and uncontrolled bitterness towards their persecutors, other survivors display only an emotional deadness and a pervasive feeling of being alone and scared. In the movie "Fateless, Gyuri, a young man sent to Buchenwald, moves from a childlike innocence to world-weariness in the span of one year. When he comes home, he feels more alone than he did at the camp and even expresses a sort of homesickness for the camaraderie he felt. As a disfigured Holocaust survivor in Christian Petzold's "Phoenix, Nina Hoss' shattered look, repressed emotions, and shaky voice feel so natural that her gradual awakening to life epitomizes a Phoenix rising from the ashes.
Hungary's entry for Best International Feature Film at the 2019 Academy Awards, Barnabás Tóth's ( Camembert Rose" Those Who Remained (Akik maradtak) asks us to rethink our idea of what liberation meant to those just released from the camps. Based on the 2004 novel of the same name by Zsuzsa F. Varkonyi and set in Budapest between 1948 and 1953, the suffering of the Holocaust years are deeply etched on the face of Doctor Aládar (Aldo) Körner (Károly Hajduk, One Day. a slender, gaunt man of about forty who is going through the motions of his Ob-Gyn practice at a Budapest hospital, but the look in his eyes cannot hide the trauma of his wife's death and that of his two young boys.
Coming from the Israelite Community Orphanage, Klára (Abigél Szõke, X - The eXploited. a mature-looking 16-year-old girl, sees Dr. Körner, for a gynecological exam to find out why her puberty has come so late. At first, angry, fearful, and wound into a tight knot, when she reaches out and suddenly embraces the doctor, it is clear that she is seeking more than an exam but a respite from her desperate loneliness. Outspoken in her disdain for her classmates at school and her great-aunt Olgi (Mari Nagy, Budapest Noir" with whom she lives, Klára only begins to reveal her repressed humanity when Aldo responds to her like a fellow human being in pain, not a wounded animal.
Bringing the film to life with her tremendously affecting performance, Szõke refuses to return to Olgi even though she loves her and wants her to be happy. Instead, she moves in with Aldo who acts as a foster father, sharing custody with her aunt. He makes the rules, however, and is strict about physical contact, especially when she crawls into bed with him at night. Gradually, both open up though to each other. They talk about God, her parents, the sister she feels guilty about not being able to save from death, and, in a tender scene, he shares with her his photo album from before the war.
Though Aldo strictly adheres to the rules of propriety, their developing relationship raises some eyebrows, and the interest of Soviet operatives. Amidst talk of a Soviet crackdown on personal freedoms, Aldo and Klára do their best to be discreet, but it does not prevent others from gossiping. In one instance, after being seen in a park laying her head on Aldo's lap, Klára is defiant when interrogated by a Communist official. Similarly, Pista (Andor Lukáts, The Whiskey Bandit. Aldo's colleague at work, says that people have disappeared during the night and tells him that he has joined the Communist Party and has been asked to inform on him.
Those Who Remained is an intimate look at two damaged souls who have been bruised and shaken by life but are now ready to begin the reconstruction of their life, a process which will, in Percy Bysshe Shelley's phrase "lift the veil from the hidden beauty of the world." Knowing that any expression of the love they feel for each other will push the boundaries of what is considered acceptable, both realize that their protestations of innocence will not be enough to keep them safe, and that they must now reach out to others, bringing solace and joy in a world in dire need of both.
